Refund

Ok so 2 weeks ago I submitted a complaint on here, only after I had tried to take care of it with CC themselves. I do not like to do things like this, only as last resort. But if you are going to file complaints then you must let people know when that company comes through for you. Care Credit contacted me right away, they were more than generous. I am very pleased to say that I can finish making my payments to them and on time. All I can say is if you have an issue with a creditor, try very hard to work with them yourself, if no response, there are ways to help, good luck and thank you Care Credit!

My husband & I had a Care Credit account and only used it for vets bills & dental. We both had great credit & all our accounts were in good standing, until my husband lost his job & I was injured at work. We tried for a while to keep up with the payments, but they were getting higher & higher & we have a home & children to take care of. After a while we just stopped paying. Now they want to take us to court for the second time, when we tried to set up a payment arrangement, they refused to accept what we could afford. Now they want to add court fees to our balance. Not a company I recommend dealing with ever again!

Im a new customer the first month they charged me 300+ now its 600+ my dentist told me and from the ge hand out i should pay only within the range of 174 - 194. My phone minutes were already gone following up on them.

VERY ANGERY

I CALLED ON 2/18/2013, I WAS HUNG UP ON 3 TIMES, SWORE AT, AND LIED TO BY 2 DIFFIDENT SUPERVISORS! I MADE A PAYMENT PLAN IN DECEMBER AND THEM JAN AND FEB THEY TACKED ON A $100 FEE SAYING I DIDN'T PAY ENOUGH AFTER THEY WHERE THE ONES SETTING IT UP TO COME UP WITH THE IDEA TO DO A PAYMENT PLAN AND TAKE IT OUT OF MY CHECKING ACC. I WILL NEVER USE THIS COMPANY OR TELL ANY ONE THEY ARE GOOD AND SHOULD US EM. THEY CALL AT 530 IN THE MORNING WANTING MORE MONEY AND DEMANDING PAYMENTS NOW!! WHAT THE ***??

Screwed every month with late payment fees

They make the internet payment a nightmare so I finally give up and try calling which they are of course never open on a saturday or sunday so by the time some one answers Im late, Or Ill remember same day go to pay by 3 pm just to find I STILL got a 30.00 fee because it was 3 THEIR time NOT my time. PRAYING I find a way to pay this off before the interest hits SIGH They make the initial card look so good, with the low interest after so long, But after reading all this AND the fines I have already gotten I am fearing what will come next. IT IS good to have for a vet emergency BUT at what cost???

Don't be late 3 times in a row! All of a sudden you'll find yourself at the default interest rate, which I'm sure is at around 28% by now.

Never received statements

I used my Care Credit card for a dentist here in Palm Coast. It was a small amount, approximately $185.00. Not one time did I receive a statement, so I could make my payments. I went to the dentist last August, 2012. Had I not been applied for a loan to purchase a small Condo, I would never have known. Due to that small loan, which I never made a payment on, ruined my credit. It looked as if I was not responsible enough to pay a small bill. If I don't receive a statement, I don't remember to pay. That's how it is. I receive monthly statements every month from everyone else, cell phone, utilities and etc. I am so mad and so upset, I could scream. It keep me from getting pre approved. That's great. I made a commitment 2 pay if off yesterday and I did so. Now, I want a letter from them with a copy to me, stating the bill is paid and it was there fault, not mine. Wow, only in the state of Florida would I not receive a statement and it's not just Care Credit, I owed the dentist, Dr. Gordon, $52.00 and never got a statement. I paid them yesterday too. Walked in to Dr. Gordon's office yesterday and of course, they blamed the corporate office, the corporate office said they do to send out statements, so I received a print out of services on Tuesday, the 12, of February, 2013. Guess what, it wasn't mine, it belongs to someone who lives in Orland. The envelope had my name and correct address, just the wrong person. Hippa Law was just violated. I also want Dr. Gordon's office person who handles billing to write a letter to the Credit Bureau with a copy to me, stating it wasn't my fault and that the bill is paid in full. Spoke with Kathy at the office here in Palm Coast, of course, she didn't know anything about the information I received, she said it didn't come from us and I don't want it and the lady in charge of billing is out to lunch and won't return until 2:00 PM, nice long lunch, it was noon. Very very mad. Thank you for your attention to this matter. Wow, no one pays attention to detail, no one. I have yet to meet anyone in Palm Coast that knows how to be professional, pleasant and/or that pays attention to detail. So sad. Respectfully submitted, Sandy Wiggins

Constant problems with billing

After repeatedly having problems with care credit not applying the money I paid via bank debit card and extra fees being added on, I took their offer to settle, which of course is not good for my credit rating. Somehow they could not apply my payments even though there were thousands of dollars in my bank account. I am always able to pay bills this way with every other agency. On top of that, they continue to bill for full the amount even after I paid the agreed amount. This was supposed to be a convenient way to pay for medical & veterinary. I am so sorry that I used this kind of credit as it is ruining mine,

System Setup TO Force Penalties on Consumers

CareCredit is a nightmare. Don't use them. If they do not receive your payment by 5 pm on the due date you get dinged for a late payment. There is no forgiveness or give in their system unlike every other company that gives you at least a few days between "due" and "late." Plus, their website is impossible to use. And you can count on spending 10-15 minutes on their automated phone system trying to make a payment. If it (their automated system) kicks you out to an agent (which is a near certainty given how awkward it is) you guessed it. You get hit with a penalty for the pleasure of talking to one of their trained monkey-agents. Don't use CareCredit under any circumstances.

Care Credit Scam- dental Service

I used care credit for dental service and my understanding was to make a full payment within 24 months and this was never communicated to me as just a minimum payment. They only deducted minimum and have charged me over $3500 in payment for a principal of $2000. and they still want to charge me $1700 saying this is interest which is a total fraud. I never was explained what I had to pay or never got any notifications. i dont even know what interest I am paying. I will be taking them to court. And they have no contract of autodeducting from my bank acc

Punished for Paying Early!

I had $3000. worth of dental work done in Dec. of 09, was told that care credit would finance interest free for 60 mths. they did for 90 days and than I was hit with a very large interest payment! I had moved, so I had no recourse on dentist. I make my payments on the first of the mth, they are not due until the end, always pay more than the min. I have had to use the card a few times for emergencies, but no more than a few hundred dollars. As of Dec 12 I still owed $2500. In Nov. 2012, I made my pymt on the 2nd as I normally do, and than I got paid on the 28th and made my Dec ppmt. This is where I got punished! Because I made 2 payments in 1 mth they are saying I did not make my Dec pymt. and now I am late on 3 pymt. I closed acct, and I will warn you DO NOT OPEN AN ACCOUNT WITH CARE CREDIT! they will suck you dry, you will never get it payed off. When I called cs, their response was "We are not like mastercard and visa" and they are right! I paid all 5 of my bills at the same time that month and they are the ONLY ONE that did this. Use them as your very last resort!

I called call cntr & asked ,"IF I WANTED TO FILE BANKRUPTCY WHAT DO YOU GUYS DO"? NEXT THING I KNOW MY ACCOUNT WAS IN THAT DEPT, CHARGED OFF AND IT TOOK ME 3 MONTHS TO REMOVE IT AND LATE FEES ADDED. THEN I ASKED THEM TO FIX IT W/CREDIT B. NO ONE CAN FIX IT CAUSE I NEVER FILLED BANKRUPTCY AND NO PAPER WORK FROM ME.. OK SO HOW U PUT ME IN BANKRUPTCY WHEN I NEVER FILLED. Used for medical

Was charge interest on a security I did not ask for, they took it off but over a year I paid a high rate due to this and they need to pay me back on these extra charges!!! What can I do for I was taking on this account and they want to also charge me to talk to someone{ 15' dollars }. because i did not pay it off in time it also charge me over 500 dollars extra with this security. NEVER BEEN LATE,ALWAYS PAID EXTRA ON MY ACCOUNT AND PAID THEM OFF ONCE BEFORE...KNOW THEY ARE MAKING IT HARD TO GET IT PAID!!!

Lies, all lies

told by dentist if i con't to pay my bill on time i would not be chg, interest, opened my bill today,I was chg. 1145.00 in interest cause my bill extended over two yrs. I was never told I had a time limit just a clause that said pay on time ea. month-who do i file a complaint to? This company needs to be stopped I refuse to pay this bill I owe 700 they are saying 1900.00, are they crazy - e mail me at iaerton@***.com-I have read about my people feeling the same way, I think we need to get together and stop this company once and for all, I pay my bills on time to be tried like this is not exceptable

I agree with LadyScot. You have no idea what you are talking about.

It sounds like you did not read any portion of your contract. Not paying results in more fines which isn't very smart. They offer different amounts of time based upon the amount of money spent. A copy is handed to you at the doctors office at the time of service.

Hard to believe you had no idea of this. I have the card and its wonderful.

HOW would your doctor, who does not work for the CC finance company know how their credit works?? Did you READ your credit agreement? You signed it. Most all interest free when paid by loans have the interest billed upfront. When you pay it off in the allotted time, the interest is then either taken from the final payment, or refunded in full. Again, READ the credit agreement.

Would you ask your mechanic how your doctor does brain surgery??

Lost final payment

I sent a check for $1,793.75.+ on 1/3/13. Care credit credited my account with$900 + and said I had a balance due of over $800. When I called Cust Serv -- they gave me run around and said my check was received in the amt of $900+ and the rep read off the figures -- different bank, different acct #, different signature. I told them that my check received by them had cleared my bank and they told me that i had to get a copy of the check (front & back) and fax it to them in order for them to research. I am elderly -- no fax - no car to drive me to bank - no HELP at all from Care Credit. What happened to my check -- by the way - they converted the payment to ACH (whatever that means) and I cannot get a copy of the check. Then they said I could send them a copy of my bank statement -- are you kidding? I would not release my bank statement to these people. Very disappointed in their customer service -- How can I settle this????

I'm sorry I am failing to understand how being old has anything to do with not having a car or fax???? Not everyone has either.

This was a simple check mix up. The company couldn't possibly get your bank information. YOU had to. You are obviously doing ok with access to a computer to complain.

You could have logged into your bank account and emailed the copy of the payment to care credit without leaving your home. Think before complaining.

OMG! I almost fell for this card!

I had to rescue 2 pregnant small dogs last night and one died on the operating table and the other is touch and go and I am watching her to see if she can deliver the pups safely. I will be on watch arund the clock for the next few days. Bad odor emiting from the mama dog. Guess I will just put it on my credit card and it isn't even my dog!

Man, I HATE it when *** people let huge dogs mate with chihuahuas...it cost her her life at the age on 1 year old. I am a bleeding heart for dogs so I think i just racked up a thousand dollar vet bill for 2 dogs and one already died.

I have this card and love it - as long as you make your payments on time and within the no-interest window, you won't be charged interest. If you still have a balance after the window ends, you will get socked with interest.

It's simple. Do what you've agreed to do, and there will be no penalties. This card has been a lifesaver for my pet and my teeth as well since I can use it for my dentist too. The very first month I had it, I did get charged a late fee because I lost the statement and couldn't remember when the payment was due.

I called them and explained and they removed the late fee without any problem. Credit card companies are not benevolent.

They are in business to make money. But if you follow the rules, you'll be just fine.

I am pissed also

I have had and still have credit And debit cards of all kinds however I have Never experienced so much difficulty and bother I have had manage this card account online. There are so many options how do you narrowed down which is your. I just came from four separate care credit googled web site, and not ONE was my I'd and password accepted. This account IS NOT new. And I know 100% my I'd and pw is correct. Here I'm 40 minutes later Still trying to access my account. They probably just trying to force people onto auto deduction...one day I bet all these corps will just take our Money out..How they just won't let you pay any other way. They control everything. I hate dealing with these corps at all. Us folks who don't have 1,000's of dollars for med, den, eye care are at there mercy. Omg help us....as we have seen most of our financial institutions can NOT be trusted. Well here's my service number....which my sign in screen would not take...so well ..?

CareCredit is a total SCAM and all BS

I applied for this card about 5 years ago or so...I had to use it for emergency dental work,,,I charged 4,000 and agreed to 165 per month,,,I went to pay this off and was told I had interest on the 4,000 as a promotional after 18 months but I never signed up for a promotional item....they said it was a problem with my dentist and there was nothing I could do. I reported them to the BBB and the Maryland Consumer Attorney Generals office for FRAUD on this promo item I never agreed to. When my card was charged at the dentist I signed the receipt and received my first bill stating 165 due and received that every month until I decided to pay it off then they said I had to pay 2 years interest due on promo items. Told them to shove up their butt,,,the rep was extremelly rude and told me to shove it up mine and hung up. Needless to say, I wont the BBB and received a favorable response from the Attorney General's office. I have since cancelled Care Credit and when my dentist or my vet ask me to apply I tell them like the rep at carecredit told me,,, shove it!

Having signed up for Care Credit for some cosmetic surgery, I asked that the account be set-up so-as to allow not only a deminishing balance with payments, but also reduced monthly payments. Despite this, the payments remain high despite the declining balance, if payments are made too early, they are credited to the prior months statement forcing me to make another payment due to their bookkeeping error, they can't change the due date or account type, and they won't permit payments with a credit or debit card.

Only checking and savings accounts are allowed. Once I can afford to transfer my balance to another, any, credit card, I am going to do so due to having to spend too many hours on the phone with them arguing over their bookkeeping errors.
