I totally agree.... Aspen Dental didnt credit care credit for 2500.00 when we found out that my teeth didnt not have to be surgically removed something they said could happen and that they would credit our account if they were not surgically removed..

Turned out after 4 months of not thinking to ask.. just assuming they would let us know if there was a credit..( NOT) we had paid off the credit card 8500.00 before we found out that my teeth didnt have to be surgically removed..where was that money? we never knew about it and i bet if I hadnt asked we would of never heard we had a 2500 credit. I am furious about this..

interest could of been building on this money in an savings account.. we could of used it to buy a new furnace that we didnt get because we paid so much for my teeth..Corrupt company..

both Aspen Dental and Care credit.. and I am not 100% sure that All About Eyes isnt in this fraudulent business too

I had a balance of 1900.00 they make your monthly payment so low,that the balance is not paid by the promotional deadline.they were charging me a monthly interest then a 500.00 interest fee was added to payoff amt.so i just paid them 2422.32.i cut my card up.they are ripoff scammers. that was done to me twice.when i called them for the payoff,they said because promotion expired,thats the fee.i told them they cannot double charge on the interest.they said they can do what they want.told me oh well.thats their policies.

It is not a scam. What part of 6, 12 or 18 month intrest free dont you understand? Very simple pay it off before the time is up and its intrest free, dont pay and its not.

Babs they do try to take advantage of consumers.. Once I received my first statement and called them about the payment amount, they said that payment was just a minimum payment but I can pay whatever I want..

This is confusing for an older person that looks at their bill and try to do the right thing.. Had I not called I would be complaining like all the others.

Babs, to me that says 6,12,18 months no interest. Not that if it wasn't paid in those months then the interest would still be charged.

This needs to be explained to the younger clientele in more detail.

I think that if they had some English speaking customer service agents then it wouldn't be lost in translation also. The vet office that I used this card at did not explain this to me either.

CareCredit review: Medical use surgery

I applied for Care Credit to help pay some of the doctor and hospital fees for a surgery that my insurance would not cover December of 2012. I have not so good credit but was able to be approved by GE for this card. I understood going in that my interest rate was going to be higher as I have not so good credit but I needed this surgery. My experience has been good. I pay my bills through auto draft and get a lower interest rate for doing so and it is helping raise my credit score. I have no complaints with this company. I get no calls because I pay my bill on time all of the time and I pay less interest not only because I auto pay but I pay 10 dollars more every month. Most of the problems I see on this site are with the customer not with the company. Learning how to handle your money and credit is what most of these folks need to do. Taking control over their accounts and not just going along with what the person on the other end of the line says is important; follow up and not months later. It's your credit score not the companies; they don't care about you and never will. Take some personal responsibility.

Thank you so much for being the voice of sanity. I have a hard time taking most of the complaints seriously because of the bad language and atrocious grammar of the person posting the complaint.

My mother-in-law has a Care Credit account. She, like you, had a lower credit score, but was still able to qualify. She is not computer literate, so she comes to my house once a month, BEFORE her due date and asks me to help her make her payment online. The only problem we ever had was when I failed to enter the log-in information correctly and the account was locked out for two hours.

That was my fault, not Care Credit's.

I noticed that the one time someone articulated what appeared to be a legitimate complaint, a representative of Care Credit responded by stating the company would be willing to review the case. I have to agree with you about taking action regarding their own credit scores.

I personally don't like the system we have, but unfortunately it is the one we are stuck with so we either learn to work within the system, or we don't use credit and pay cash. I think paying cash is better, but sometimes that is not an option.

Hello, My bad experience started when I visited a dental office in December 2012. I was told by an associate from the dental office my payment will become active once my root canal work procedure is started. The only work was done was fill in. I was schedule to come in in a month's time for my root canal. I started getting calls for payment even before any work of root canal had started. I have been calling customer service at care credit since early this year few times already. Last call done few weeks ago and was told my dispute claim has been put through which will take about couple of months to be resolve not the first time. I received a letter last week advising me to make payment including INTEREST until this matter of dispute is resolved an adjustment will be made to my account. I do not have account and I will not accept this letter of their "investigating this dispute and to make payment with interest". Can you imagine I use to get calls from different area codes morning, day and night as late as 10 pm. I call customer service to stop the harassment which they did. I am starting to get this calls again. So somebody please will look into this and resolve the situation. Thank you Veena Bhagwandas

They just got sued and now you can dispute claims. The dental practice can not charge out services before work is done.

I run a dental practice and we have to sign new forms about not charging before work starts and how customer has first right or refusal. If they charge you you can still reverse charges :x

my father in law used guerrino dentistry in hartsdale n.y. to pull nine teeth a girl at desk told him she will put everything in his name instead added my name and charged him his total credit on card of $7,200 this is for pulling nine teeth mind u. my father in law went to office and they adjusted bill it was a little over $1,300 which he paid for i have been trying to contact that evil liar stephanie at her office she has been avoiding my phone calls for two months.I have spoke to numerous people at care credit trying to explain my situation to no avail is there someone out there that can help us.

We've had Care Credit for about four years and we are totally satisfied. I would say we've probably charged a total of $16,000 in dental work during that time. My wife had some implants done by a first-rate dentist and I had about $7000 in a permanent from the same fellow. In addition she had several crowns. We paid them all off on time and were never charged a nickel of interest. If anyone is pissed off at this organization, I suspect that person is not a terribly savvy consumer. Your instructions say I must enter at least 100 words, which is why I wrote this last sentence.

I agree. This card is amazing!

I've never had any problems and I read all the fine print, pay by due date, and watch when my promotional pay periods end. I've had this card for several years.

Have charged thousands of dollars and have NEVER paid any interest. People just need to be active, responsible card holders!

I have never had any trouble with my care credit. I watch my statement like a hawk, never pay late and keep an eye on all promotional purchases.

If you want a good experience with carecredit, you have to actively participate in your account. Nobody will do it for you

I charged 300$ started charge interest right from first bill even though was told 90 same as cash no interest. 1st bill 25 next 35 next 45 no new charges added why would this be????

Avoid GE Carecredit card

Several years ago I applied and received a GE carecredit card for dental procedures. I used the card a couple times. I paid my bills every month. Sometime the minimum and often more. I moved out of country and decided I did not want an open line of credit so called the company to ensure that I didnt owe money and to close the account. I closed the account and was told I was all settled up. I just ran my credit score and come to find out that they claim to have an outstanding debt on my card. When talking to the company they said they cant find the details but it was probably interest that had accrued and that this was my problem. When closing an account they said they have no way of knowing this and I needed to follow up to see if I owed more money. The man I spoke to when I closed the account didnt say anything about this. He just said I owed nothing and all was well. Now I have a bad mark on my credit. Be aware with GE caecredit!!! dont use. They have all the power. Even when you think you are doing everything right.

I got this card to help me finance my medical situation. I did not know they were going to penalize me with paying my whole bill at the end of the year with a $450 bill which will be charged interest on top of that.I will be losing that amount while being charged interest on top of that and the existing bill %26.99 which is a rip off.These companies want you to think they are helping you but they are really just another greedy corporate company.Beware. On top of that when I called I got hung up on. Rudeness is their customer service. There was no one there to actually help me with my bill. Finding other sources of credit.

That's how it works. You have a promotional period with 0 interest and if you don't pay it off by then you get a crazy interest charge.

That's why you should pay it before the promo ends... Read what you're signing up for and keep track of your payments and you won't pay a penny more than you should.
