I get 5-6 calls a day from these idiots. When I signed up at the dental office I told them I could only afford a $25 a month payment. And I was told there would be no interest. They have added on late fees and interest and the balance is wrong. I have spoken with them...

CareCredit review in Berwyn, Illinois: Care Credit

I was given a pamphlet from my dentists office and told that Care Credit is a government sponsored program that was put in place to help people with Medical, Dental and Vision needs. Supposedly you can borrow money interest free, and as long as you pay on time your account remains interest free until the balance is paid off. Care Credit is a bank with a credit card. They find a way to skip a payment and then charge a late fee and 26.7% interest. Well if you are poor and can't pay off the balance. then you are stuck with the high interest. I called and has the fee and interest removed and paid off the balance. Others may not have that ability. If this has happened to you, please call the Better Business Bureau, your Congressman and Senator. This company is committing fraud and passing out pamphlets that look like legitimate government programs. Lets collectively stop this!

Sounds like your issue is with the Dental office. In the brochure handed to you by the dental office did it say it was a Government Program??

Care CREDIT the name should say it all...but of course you read the paperwork you were signing? Correct?

CareCredit review in Stone Mountain, Georgia: Extremely, Extremely Rude and Deceptive!

Every time I have ever dealt with this company they have been shockingly rude (and I am personally always pleasant and professional on the phone so I know their attitude is not in self-defense). My first bill, I mistakenly thought the due date was the 22nd instead of the 20th, so I got hit with a $35 late fee. I requested a change to my due date one time to make it two days later, they didn't tell me it wouldn't be effective until two billing cycles from then, so I got hit with ANOTHER $35 late fee the next month. When I called asking why the date wasn't changed, the lady was a total you-know-what and said "I don't know what to tell you" and said she couldn't submit a request for a refund of the late fee because the first one from OVER A MONTH AGO was still "in review." Likely story. Point is - I have excellent credit and never pay anything late, they know my credit is good, this was an honest mistake from a new customer and they did ZERO to work with me. She hung up the phone mid-sentence and then KEPT ME ON HOLD so that I could not answer the customer service survey at the end of the call. Unbelievable! I have never been jerked around so much as by these people. I wish I would have known this prior to my procedure, I would have paid in cash. Not worth the hassle.

CareCredit is trying to rip me off for thousands of dollars.

Loan Shark Practices- Like most of the others on here I was approved for a $5,500 loan interest free for 12 months. I paid $5,100 off and had $400 left my next bill showed a $2,400 so I went from owing $400 to $2,800 just like that. They told me I did not live up to the terms of the contract and even if I had paid $5,499 at the end of 12 months I owe interest on all that entire balance if the account is not paid in full. CareCredit if you can, they are only interest in taking advantage of you. I am amazed that they are allowed to operate as they do in this country without any consequence. I received a ton of calls from a collection agency who demanded I pay the entire sum which is now about $4,000. The amount keeps increasing. I told them I will only pay what I truly owe and not a penny more. They continued to call so I evoked the Fair Dept Collection Act on them which stopped the calls. I received a letter from an attorney's office yesterday threatening to sue me. Talk about a nightmare.

CareCredit review in Camano Island, Washington: Misleading

This company just takes advantage of consumers. Seems to offer good deal when you need dental or medical saying you don't have to pay interest if paid off in 6 months, and tries to come across so friendly, but it is ready to stick you with high interest and high fees if you are late for any reason. Better off to use your regular charge card and stay away from this one! We paid a large first payment, received NO reminders via email (went paperless) and then were charged a high late fee since the second payment wasn't made on time.

CareCredit review in Portland, Oregon: Lay off

So I called Care Credit today to see if there is anything they could do to help me out with my credit card balance, since I am being layed off from my job and today is my last day. I told them with all my bills it will be impossible to keep up the monthly pymt, and that I would like to pay off my balance (with outside family help) and if they could give me some kind of break or discount? NOPE. They don't do anything like that....I then called my Discover Card, No Problem they said. They took off 4 months of interest. Not a lot, but it defeinately helped. Thank you Discover Card and No thanks Care Credit!!

CareCredit review in Lebanon, New Hampshire: They took my dog,and now cc wants me to pay

I brought my pure bred Border Collie to SAVES emergency hospital they told me it would be impossible to give us an exact amount of the total cost, but we needed to give them a deposit of $500.00. We did this with our Care Credit card, which we had opened through our regular Vet for just this reason...emergencies. After many different reports of our dogs recovery, we asked if could move her from the emergency hospital to our local Vets office. Again we were given different stories depending on whom we were speaking with, also the cost kept going up, and from the information we were given the dog would be better off being,as the person speaking said "put down". When we inquired about picking up her remains to be brought home for burial, all of a sudden one of the nurses piped up saying she would take the dog and cover all expenses, which included Care Credit. SAVES has been paid by care credit, they had care credit send me a bill for $500.00. I immediately called care credit to dispute the charge ,they told me they would stop all action and send me a dispute letter. I got a second bill for $599.00 I again called to dispute the bill and again they said they would stop all action and send me a letter to dispute the charge.I'm still waiting. In the meanwhile GE Bank care credit parent company has canceled and closed my other GE accounts, that has always been paid.Citing my bad credit caused by care credit. MY credit score has gone from mid 600's to 400. BEWARE or GE Bank and Care Credit

CareCredit review in Greensburg, Pennsylvania: GE Capital/CARE CREDIT FRAUD

I agreed to a 6 month no interest promotion for dental implant work in June 2012. 9 months later (March 2013) the work has not been completed, as the implant/bone graft failed in October 2012, and had to be removed and the bone graft reattempted at that same time. Once again, 9 months later, and a procedure that should've been resolved within 4 months (by October 2012) has now exceeded that time frame twice over. I contacted Care Credit twice about this issue, and in both instances the response was basically "we'll see what we can do, we'll stop the billing while investigating...", only to respond later with a "sorry, we can't help you" letter with back dated interest tacked on, with no acknowledgement as to the reason why the entire balance has not been paid in full during the 6 month promotion, nor any acknowledgement of the monthly payments that have been made. I guarantee an individual or class action lawsuit will be filed against this company. They offer credit accounts/promotions, yet penalize and steal from their customers (interest fees) by offering no recompense, regardless of the facts, in the event treatment plans are not completed correctly, or completed within the time frame outlined prior to agreeing to treatment.
