I pay my bill every month on time and double my payments so that I don't get charged interest. I was told that I have 12 months to pay it off with no interest and I just figured out how much I would have to pay each month to get that done and I am almost finished...

Um, same here. I used care credit for my cat's vet and I have 6 months to pay off my bill with no interest. I have a $25 limit as well, I pay double that every month, and for the last two months I've been paying quadrupedal that (just so I can pay it off on time) and I don't use auto-pay to do it. I only have 1 more payment left 2 months before the end of the 6 month promotion, and have had no problems so far. Actually I had forgotten what the specific date for when my 6 month promotion was up (I just knew to pay everything off before the end of feb), but it doesn't matter, because care credit reminded me that I have 60 days left by posting it on my actual online account, which shows that they aren't trying to make you late for your payments.

I'm the kind of person who doesn't need to be reminded to pay my bills. I don't wait for a bill to show up in my mailbox or in my e-mail to tell me that I need to pay it. I just 'know' I have to pay my bill every month (unless it fluctuates of course) and when that time comes around, then I pay it, and I have never had any problems.

I think a lot (not all) of the reviewers here are people who are frustrated with their financial state and need someone to blame. If you 'remember' to pay your bill on time and pay it off before the promotion ends, then you'll have no problems. If you think you can't pay it off before the promotion ends, then don't bother doing it in the first place. If you do end up doing it, and you know you can't pay it off before the promotion ends, but you do it anyway because you really have to, don't blame care credit when you can't pay your bills on time. Don't blame anyone, You had to do what you had to do and that's that. Stuff happens, and sometimes we gotta put ourselves in debt just to get by.

Anyhow, I wouldn't say that I would suggest care credit to anyone else. Credit card loans in general are horrible ideas. Banks, in general, are evil and I loathe them all. But desperate times called for desperate measures, and well thank goodness for care credit's 'no interest' promotion. They helped pay for kitty's medical procedures and I didn't feel like I sold my soul to the devil by agreeing to their services.

P.S. I do not work for care credit. I 'm just someone who has different priorities than some, who pays their bills on time, online, and without auto-pay or a reminder, and after I sign a contract, I make sure I read everything in the contract to avoid violating any terms and conditions.

I took out a loan for a medical procedure a year ago. I feel *** for not researching this company more. Basically I was told I had a zero interest loan for 12 months that ended September of 2011 (this month). I went to pay my account in full, and not only did they...

CareCredit review in Boston, Massachusetts: GE Money/Care Credit: They're reading your complaints

The comments I read here about CareCredit and their scammy customer service reallly scared the bejezzus out of me since I had just acquired the card for extensive dental work. Well, I called the "Account Security" section and canceled my participation in that particular "option". I even set up to pay more than the minimum payment to fullfill the interest free time period. The customer service reps were overly solicitous and handled my request without trying too hard to make me change my mind. Also, I did not have to wait at all to speak with a rep. It looks like they're trying to clean up their act.

Carecredit Credit Card

CareCredit review in Laguna Hills, California: Care Credit a scam

I obtained a Care Credit card even though I had plenty of other cards and credit to pay my dental services. The reasoning was the "no interest" promotional feature. I thought why not even though I could have paid for my services in full. I was very suspicious when I still had to pay several hundred dollars to the dentist for their "fee" for using the card (pre paid interest?) Then the first statement showed additional "fees" (no interest just fees...right). I chalked it up to new card initialization. I just received my second statement and it still shows fees. To me a fee is nothing more than interest by a different name. I will be paying this off immediately because I see where it is going, but I do not recommend anyone falling for the "no interest" scam.

Carecredit Credit Card

CareCredit review in Tempe, Arizona: Care credit

Im not sure why there would be any complaints on care credit. I used my care credit card for one year without any interest, its seems to me to be the best deal in town. If you pay your bill on time people you wont have any problems. The on-line bill pay was easiest for me and know I find out, I can start all over again with any new purchases 0 interest. I do not work for GE money or care credit, just appreciate the good consumer service. I can use my card at vet, doctor, dentist, I can get botox shots! who hoo!

Hi, I am thinking about getting a care credit card. What are the different ways of paying off the balance?

Can I pay it online or will I have to send them a check?

Thanks :)

CareCredit review in San Francisco, California: Care credit no grace period if late payment

It seems suspicious that a card issued for emergency health care would have a "NO grace period" policy for a late payment and then charge extremely high late fees and "possibly" raise your interest rate on the remaining balance. This practice looks like a corporate giant preying on those in emergency health care situations. What would it harm them to have a standard grace period when it's certain their clients are in difficult times, hence, applying for emergency health credit? The card itself says, "Healthcare on your terms". MY terms would be to offer the basic consideration of a standard grace period.

I completely agree with everything you said. I needed the extra help with medical bills in order to continue working but everything has gotten far worse rather than better after getting CareCredit and I intend for all my friend's to know.

Carecredit Account

CareCredit review in Indianapolis, Indiana: Care credit horrible service

First, Care Credit is a consumer loan you can apply so if you need to go to the dentist and get some major work done on your mouth, they give you a plan to pay it off over time. Similar to regular credit card etc. It's used by those who don't have medical insurance. Recently I found a new dentist (won't go back to him anymore). Initially after talking to him and with his office manager they presented me with $5000 bill and I signed it without even realizing that I was bind then to that dentist because they charged my Care Credit card right away for the full amount before any service was done! The dentist and his office manager had me scheduled for several appointments for deep cleaning, crown placement and "free" teeth whitening. He said he'll throw it in as complimentary! After about 3-4 visits of cleaning/measurements/and two good teeth fillings and placing temporary crowns on my 2 teeth, they call me in a day before my teeth whitening appointment and ask me to come in an hour earlier for teeth cleaning AGAIN! I just had done deep teeth cleaning 3 weeks prior. So that was in less than 3 weeks for another teeth cleaning which is unheard of. I come in. Nobody tells me anything. The hygienist cleans my teeth for 30 minutes and then I wait for a woman to arrive to do my teeth whitening. That woman arrived 20 minutes late...... why the *** schedule for a certain time if she's gonna be late? Again, nobody tells me or explains if there are any side effects from laser whitening. They put me on chair, put some blue wax over my teeth and direct laser into my mouth. After 30 minutes I began having sudden sharp front teeth pain. The pain intensified over time that it made me cry. It felt like someone was poking my teeth with a knife. The dental assistant rushed in and used Vitamin E to ease my pain. I am thinking I'd have to go to ER. Then they call in the dentist who told me to go home and use warm milk to swoosh my mouth every 30 minutes and it should go away. I do that and pain 2 hours later was gone. It was most horrible experience and my teeth only gotten whiter for a short period of time and now back to yellow color again. The dentist told me they would give me gel and trays to do self-whitening at home but he NEVER did. I arrive for next appointment and ask for my "ledger" - they present me with a charge of $5500 instead of $5000. They tell me "do not worry the price would be adjusted". They ask me if my son would like to be a patient there. I said no. My son has a wonderful dentist. Thank God. So then they said : "Ok we gave you some discount and the price you still owe us is $367" on top of that $5000 that I had originally agreed to pay for (not even sure what the heck I paid such crazy amount for). The office manager tells me "next time when you come in the $367 would have to be TAKEN CARE OF". I said ok. I planned on paying with personal check. Did not want my card to exceed $5000. Next day the office manager calls me and tells me : "I called Care Credit, there was room on your account and we charged your card".......eh? wtf? seriously? How could they do that? I did NOT authorize the charge! I call in Care Credit, get the most annoying rep who talks like 10000word a second. I tell her I did not authorize that charge. How could they allow them to charge that? She says "we do ask all our customers to sign when they are charged" I kept saying to her but I did NOT sign anything. She said if you want to dispute your charge "talk to your service provider". Yeah seriously like it's gonna help talking to a *** who ripped me off and did a lousy job. I can't understand how could they charge my card without my permission and they let them charge it? I asked if that dentist could be blocked from my card - rep from Care Credit replied "we can't do that". .... So before you apply for that Card, open it for a small amount that way you won't be able to get ripped off like I did.
