They do not care

Just try to contact them. Their late fees are excessive, they are hard to work with and they do not disclose anything when you sign up for this. You are better off using any other credit card. Personally, I think they prey on consumers that are in an emergency situation. They may call themselves Care Credit, but they are uncompassionate and even rude. They should be called couldn't Care-less Credit. I do not recommend this company for anyone. Preditor lender. No stars. I can't think of anything else to say, to make this the minimum 100 words (why?), but that I am very dissatisfied with this company.

Care Credit is the worst company EVER

I have great credit. I opened up a carecredit account to get laser eye surgery since they had a promotional period of 0% for 2 yrs. Why not, I'll just pay with my health savings accounts. Well, care credit is the worst company EVER. i can't pay on my bill online with my debit card (its a credit card number not a normal checking account since it's an HSA). *** online functionality. Also useless customer service reps can't do anything to help me. I call every month to make a payment and have to speak to some to get the reversal since it's a phone payment. Not even a function to email my concerns but have to stay on the phone to talk to no action employees. I will NEVER use CARE CREDIT OR GE MONEY ever since this is the worst experience in my life.

I agree they are the worst company I have ever dealt with. They have a 29% interest rate and when you have questions about payment they are all nasty.

Care Credit is very uncaring

I had to have emergency dental work as a result of an accident. dental office told me that the full procedure would take 8-12 weeks to complete and that Care Credit had approved me for the full amount of the procedure with 12 months no interest, this was in jan.2010 final work was completed the end of march. i received my first billing statement dated 2/06 for a payment due date of march 1. I began making payments on march 1st and continued to make timely payments every month always in excessive of the mim. amount due. My Feb. 2011 statement showed my promotional period would end 2/6/2011, but did not indicate what the interest would be if the balance was not paid off. I also kept thinking that all my statements were dated the 6th of every month with the 1st of the next month for the due date, so I thought I had till march 1st to pay off balance. I received my March statement this week and was surprised to see that I had been charged $634.10. My orginal charge was $2580.00. When I called Care Credit for an explanation, I was treated very ruding by customer service. I explained that I wanted to pay the balance in full and why was I being charged this additional $634.10, I was told that it was the interest accured for not paying the balance in full by the promo date. I asked why the promo date didn't extend to the 1st of mar. since that was the 12 mos. from my first payment, there was no explanation. I said I would like to pay off the balance now and what would be the pay off amount, again I was told that I must pay the full additional charge of $634.10. When I asked to speak to a supervisor, I was treated with even more rudeness. I was told there was no one I could speak to and no one would be willing to help me. I was never told by the dental office that I would be charged interest on the full amount of the charge, regardless of the balance at the end of the promo period, nor was ever told what the interest would be 22.98%. Run don't walk when you hear the name Care credit.

I am a physician who has offered CareCredit as another form of payment in my office for several years, without complaints from any of my patients.

While I cannot speak to the internal office procedures of other offices, ours thoroughly reviews with each patient how the promotional period works. In other words, if patient is financing $1K over 12 months, their monthly, interest free payment is roughtly $83 per month. There is also an alternative 'minimum' payment each month, which is less than the $83, which patients can pay if they are short that particular month. So long as the patient pays either the minimum payment due, or the regularly scheduled payment, ON TIME, no interest is charged and they have paid the full amount within the time frame that they have chosen, which in this scenario is 12 months. Nowhere have I seen it mentioned that it is the physician's office which pays the interest for the patient, which IS how this works.

I feel that this is a great option for patients to receive the care that they need and/or desire, while easing the financial burden with a more manageable monthly payment(s).

I do empathize with those individuals who have had difficulty with CareCredit, and would urge them to contact their physician in an attempt to mediate the situation.

Worst company ever. I had a similar situation with them.

When they stated my payments had been late so they automatically added the interest on to my balance before promotional period was up. I called them to talk about what happened and the women who helped me was a cold ruthless person. She was so rude and went on to explain to me that I had paid after the 5 oclock cutt off on a friday when I paid at 8pm ( my bill was due on that Saturday) , I continue to ask why would my bill be do on a Saturday but need to be paid by 5pm the day before. Don't make bills do on weekends if the can't be paid on those days!!!

Horrible customer service. Always rude!!!!

GE CareCredit rips off Cardholders while receiving taxpayer financing

My wife took out a loan with G.E. CareCredit (GE) on a 12 month no interest loan. The address for the account was entered incorrectly by GE and delayed the start of the payments. After finally receiving a delinquency notice, I called GE and was given an apology for their error. I sent up an auto-pay to clear the balance in 12 months. GE pulled the amount from my account for 10 months and then added the interest of $1,100 for exceeding the payment period. Their reason was their mistake does not let me out of paying within the original 12 month period. Never did they try to notify me of the problem with my pay plan. I was told today that they have dramatically changed their policies to comply to the changes in consumer credit laws as if that justifies poor customer service and unethical business practices. I guess they were even worse before forced to change so that makes it okay.

I just got off the phone with GE Care Credit. DON't use these theives.

I had paid my account on time more than the minimum payment. I called in August to ask on what date I had to pay the balance to avoid their userious interest rates. The lady on the phone said October. I didn't look at the statement online because it was on autopay.

I was getting ready to pay the balance on it which was started for payment on October and signed up for the account Sept 9 of the previous year. Then I found that the jerks charged me for the entire other years interest on the previous year because I missed the payment by one month...I missed the terms of the promotional time according to them but according to the records they said I had until October's payment. SO now I am screwed out of 2300 bucks for one month because they are miserable theives who lied to me about the date I was supposed to pay. SO I am going to be their worst night mare.

I am making consumer complaints I am writing to my congressman, senator, I am making a complaint to the Federal Consumer Protection Bureau, I am going to picket them, I am going to make the rue the day they ripped me off. I am mad as *** and I am not going to take it anymore.

You do everything right and they still try to rip you off!! Do yourself a favor,....NEVER USE CREDIT FROM GE.

Care Credit Scam

My account began in 2004 with a $1,400 dental bill. Since 2004, and according to my bank statements, I have now paid $2,233. I stopped paying in 2009, because the payments kept getting higher. I was taken to court and now the lawyers decided that I must pay $1,800!!! I am livid from anger. How can I get out of this mess? They are thieves and crooks. I cannot let them just take my money (from my bank account or my job). What should I do? Any answers or advice can be sent to ernestinemaharaj@***.com.

I have had to deal with care credit for 2 years know tring to get a settlement. They finally agreed to take a 402.52 settlement. They said i could make it in two payments the 1st one coming out on the 14th on jan and the other on the 14th of feb that is was to be automatically taken out from my account both times.I didnt have to talk to them again. They took the 1st payment out.The didnt take feb out and said that they didnt receive payment that the settlement was avoided. They refused to even try to understand it was there mistake. Finally after time went on they offered another settlement. This time 3 payments of 164.04.The 1st one in jun 14th came out fine. The 2nd one in jul came out fine. The last one in aug they said they didnt receive it ,that my settlement is know avoided. When it was agreeed again that all three payments would be automattically taken out. That i did nt have to do another thing.I am so *** to have ever trusted them.I trusted them for a 2nd time.Do not trust them.I wish i never open up a credit card with them.Does anyone have any advice or knowledge of this. :cry :cry

Carecredit is a ripe off.

I should have not received this, because, I did not have any dental work done. I had all of my credit reports frozen. They want to charge me, for having nothing done. X-rays were free....I am not paying for any of this..!! I went to Gentle Dental, because I had a toothache, and I wanted them to pull the tooth. They did not pull my tooth. They took e-rays, and told me, what they wanted to do, with all of my teeth. I said, NO, I'm in my late 60's, and I have a bad medical condition. So, they think, I should be buried, with beautiful teeth. I left. They are nuts.!! They have, way too many girls in that office, standing around doing nothing. I never even talked to a professional dentist. Don't go to Gentle dentistry.

I had a similar experience. I went to Aspen Dental for a toothache.

They took a "free" x-ray of my teeth. I needed a root canal & was referred to an endodontist who performed the procedure. I received a bill from Carecredit for $2000!

Tried to resolve but ended up on my credit report anyway. Never again!

I went to Gentle dentistry, because I had a toothace. They never pulled it.

The thing, that they did was take x-rays. X-rays are free. They told me to back in a week. They came me an estimate, what has to be done.

$3,000.00 I only have bottom teeth.

I told me NO WAY. I'm in my 60's and on social security. Then a bill in the bill, for $3,000.00.

That did not do anything. I never went back !!

Care Credit

I had Dental work done in 2007 and the amount charged was 2,250.00, I paid my bills on time and I would even pay extra incase something happened. By doing this, I was thinking that I was a few payments ahead. My mom I were being called at least 10 times a day and Care Credit was telling me that I was late. To make a long story short Care Credit Garnished my husbands paychecks for another 2,00.00 so my dental work costed 4,250.00. Do Not use Care Credit or if you do Beware!!!

CareCredit - Stone Age System, Beware

Massive interested rates aside, it's literally impossible to deal with these people and manage your account online: You cannot email them; their "system" does not generate the email confirmations it talks about; online instructions are missing or incomplete (eg, to make a one-time online payment you have to FIRST turn off AUTOPAY - you have to CALL to find get that little tidbit of info - which means you have to re-initiate AUTOPAY after the on-time payment and suffer/risk a 30-day gap in autopay); for goodness sake, you can't even change your user name! DO NOT TRUST THE ONLINE SYSTEM. I confirmed 3 times ON THE PHONE that my autopay amount was in their system and set to pay the $100 I set up online. Three times they said "yes". It took out $60 instead even though the CS guy confirmed as he looked at his screen that it was SUPPOSED to take the $100 autopay amount! THEY HAVE A PROBLEM and it could well cost YOU big bucks. Confirmations and documentation, though generated by their computers, cannot be emailed to you! They have to MAIL them! This is General Electric: they make JET ENGINES. COVER YOUR BUTT!

I need all people that have an account with this company, to be aware that they are liars and do not tell the truth about your account. I paid a bill that they said was not received. Then I paid again, and finally was told they would send the first check amount back, which was another lie. I do not recommend this card. I have never been treated as I have with this company. I'm 68 yrs. old and do not deserve to be treated like this. Concerned card holder.Thnak you for your time. God Bless America,USA

Has anyone had a dispute won in the customers favor for dental services not rendered ...had a dentist office take me for a ride, I was lied to and overcharged and stopped treatment plan with 1400.00 in work still to be done - I want to get the work done elsewhere, but the dentist has already been paid by c/c I shouldn't have to pay for work they r not going to do,and I was told this by a c/c service rep. I have a dispute pending right now, this site makes my odds seem bleek, has anyone found light at the end of the tunnel + any advice to help me win dispute is appreciated.

I undrstand how you are feeling, reguardless of what Care Credit says they do not make good on their word. My husband and I paid them off and they still Garnished his check. We paid extra payments thinking if something happened we would be covered but they charged us anyway by saying we were late on our payment.

Care Credit - AVOID!!!!

I just spoke top "customer service" on GE money bank because my Aug payment of 3times the required amount did not post on my billing statement and they charged me a $25 late fee – the amount due was $43, I paid $150. The first person I spoke to said it was because my July payment was late – they received it and posted it 4 days later, after my due date. She transferred me to s supervisor – all her own idea – who may be the snottiest, rudest, most obstructive woman I have EVER spoken to. The fist thing she said was "Why exactly did you think you needed a supervisor??" It got worse from there. The jist of it – if I get this right – is I was charged a late fee for paying early; they will NOT credit overages as payment until the end of the billing cycle so it oes not appear on my statement; you cannot have an updated statement (the automated phone message says you can); and I cannot change due date so I can actually pay the bill in a timely way for me instead of having to artificially delay my payment until their due date to avoid a late fee (?????) I have to receive the bill - hold the bills for at least a week - then pay it or it will credit to the previous billing cycle and I will get another late fee. Even though I am paying two and three times the amount due, the compnay will charge me a late payment fee every month my payment is not posted - on their end - on the 7th or 8th.

Paying my bill

started off paying by mail, GE Bank would notify me my payment were always late and charge even when I was on time, went to paying online. Things were fine until they took the whole balance owing and would not admit to computer error which made our checking overdrawn. Had fight to get the money back just to live and they didn't even refund bank fees, which we had to pay because they error. We have made this month payment 10-2-2010 Comf.#126632****2-17****, now GE bank said we haven't pay it. Fred and Jerlene Muns
