GE Care Credit posted my payment on 4/15/11. It cleared my bank 4/18/11. I called on 4/20/11 because the posting did not release my credit limit on my payment of $853.54, despite it being cleared. I was told "that's our policy" so asked to speak to a supervisor "Destry." He informed me it's in their policy that they can do this, and that "we don't have to tell you". WRONG. It's not in the terms and conditions anywhere. Today is 4/26, so day 11. I called again and was told it will be 4/28 before it's released, a full 13 days! This CSR said "oh, on checks 500-900 we have a 7-15 day hold on the credit release" which is also nowhere in the T&C.
This is a total ripoff! They give you no indication of this anywhere and the "we don't have to tell you" attitude stinks.
