CareCredit review in Newark, New Jersey: DO NOT USE RIP OFF

I had to get this card when my Dog was in the ER and I didn't have enough cash on hand. So you are trying to fill out paper with a dying pet and you don't notice certain things. First off the APR is 27%. That is absurd. It makes it impossible to pay off the balance. They pretty much are taking advantage of people in tough situations. Next I missed my first payment but have sent all the others with in 30 days of each other yet they charge me a late fee every month. I called in they said don't mail them. I like to use my bank pay system and don't want to have to go everyone I have to pay and use their individual site. That takes to much time. They were going to keep charging me late charges until I called them and pointed out with my bank statement that I have sent payments to them every 30 days. Had I not had that on my bank I would not have been able to show them. Again they are here to take advantage.

Hello, My bad experience started when I visited a dental office in December 2012. I was told by an associate from the dental office my payment will become active once my root canal work procedure is started. The only work was done was fill in. I was schedule to come in in a month's time for my root canal. I started getting calls for payment even before any work of root canal had started. I have been calling customer service at care credit since early this year few times already. Last call done few weeks ago and was told my dispute claim has been put through which will take about couple of months to be resolve not the first time. I received a letter last week advising me to make payment including INTEREST until this matter of dispute is resolved an adjustment will be made to my account. I do not have account and I will not accept this letter of their "investigating this dispute and to make payment with interest". Can you imagine I use to get calls from different area codes morning, day and night as late as 10 pm. I call customer service to stop the harassment which they did. I am starting to get this calls again. So somebody please will look into this and resolve the situation. Thank you Veena Bhagwandas

They just got sued and now you can dispute claims. The dental practice can not charge out services before work is done.

I run a dental practice and we have to sign new forms about not charging before work starts and how customer has first right or refusal. If they charge you you can still reverse charges :x

Thank God I read your warning! I was about to apply online because last night I had to rescue not one but 2 pregnant small dogs who were in dure trouble.

One died on the table because her *** owner ler this chihuahua bread with a mongrol the size of a large beagle..the pups died inside her 3 days ago and the odor was horrible! She died on the operating table. Then the young owner told me she had a second one ready to give birth also anytime now and I smell that same bad rotten meat odor but I did see and feel a puppy move. All vets are in Florida for a week long conference and after hours ER told me to give her a bath and then watch her closely.

What a rollercoaster ride I hae been on these 24 hours!

We need affordable Pet care on C-sections, x-rays, and SPAYING, no wonder so many people just let their animals lose and abandonded, they don't want to watch what horrible fates await them. They turn a blind eye and a cold heart to them and THEY are the ones who caused the suffering.

CareCredit review in Chatham, New Jersey: Unprofessional

I paid my total balance with the co. they cashed my check on the 16 of aug and they must have misplaced it. It was NEVER posted to my account but deducted from my checking and they have now sent me to collections for an error on their part. I have made multiple calls to the company even providing them with the check number and they continue to treat me like I have not paid the bal. I receive at least 4 calls a day from the collections agency and when I call back to ensure I will not incur any penalty fees as it is not my fault they continue to ask me to pay the bal. The customer serv. reps are all very rude and nasty

CareCredit review in Newark, New Jersey: Forced me to keep their credit

Care Credit dental plan is suppose to offer a person help in paying the denist bill, but they are just trying to get people into debt. The denist pads their bills so the client owes more than the service they give. I informed the Denist and care credit that due to their unsavy operations I would no longer want their services. I had the Denist informed them too. The dispute went on for some time with care credit insisting I owe them. With a reasonable time I had informed them that I would find my own funds to support my dental care. I had very good Dental insurance, did not realize that Denist charge more if you have insurance. Upon signing up for their credit the denist insisted that it was like a gap payment and would only cover cost my insurance would not cover. She charged my account $2,000 as soon as I submitted the application. Care Credit told me that they paid her already the whole amount before she did any work. Care Credit forced me into debit.

I'd just like to ask at what point does CareCredit think they are entitled to 26.99%APR? On a 5K 2300.00 balance, minimum payment due is listed as 80 bucks.

IF you make that payment, they keep 55 bucks, and send the rest to the balance. It never goes down.

I think this is USUARY, and should be illegal. I would never have signed if I knew how *** long this would have taken.

CareCredit review in Livingston, New Jersey: Usarious interest rates without warning

I had LASIK surgery about 34 mos ago. I was told that i could finance thru Care Credit for 36 mos and pay no interest. After the surgery I went online at GE money and set up auto payments to pay off my 3000 within 36 mos. I received a notice yesterday to log onto my account and update information. I was shocked to find that I still owe 2200. When I called care credit they told me that my financing was only for 24 mos and when the balance wasn't paid in full, I had to pay accrued interest from the date of financing at the usarious rate of 22% . This is insane. I dont know how I was told 36 mos but somehow aplied for 24mos, but had I been notified that my loan was coming due at 24 mos., I certainly would have paid it off then. A year ago, I would have only owed 1000. Now, after paying 3000 in payments to Care Credit, I still owe 2200. I am definately pissed and do not know what recourse I have.

Had problems with Care Credit years ago through out dentist office. Same thing.

So much for an "Interest Free" loan. We paid it off a soon as we could and closed that account. Everytime the dentist office told us we could finance a service, we told them no way ! !

Have told everyone we know to stay away from Care Credit.

That's how they make their money. No concern over the phone.

Watch out for the deferred apr that kicks in after you 0% interest payment time is over. This company does nothing to help its customers with a reminder of the 0% time limit ending. They just hide in the dark then rob you in your sleep. Use another source to pay your medical bills. The customer service is useless and has a long wait period. Care credit does nothing positive for their customers in long-term payment situations to continue a low apr rate. I can't wait tocut this card in half and throw it in the garbadge where it belongs.

Thanks to this site i was able to reach someone from GE care credit who was able to reverse my years intrest they sent at end of promotion and let me pay off ballence (intrest free) . I followed link in comment to gecapitalcares and emailed them.

They called back in about 30 min. Was very nice. Name was Bonnie.

Why customer care was so rude at phone # on ge site earlier ( told me there was nothing that could be done) i dont know. Thanks for saving me alot of money, Rob :grin :grin

I think there is a special place in *** for companies who take advantage of people needing medical or dental treatment. Not talking about Botox but treatment for pain, infections, etc. They know full well that few people can afford to pay for thousands of dollars of treatment in just a few months - and they take advantage of that.
