I got a Care Credit card because they were offering a 200.00 fitbit if you paid 2 consecutive payments on time. I did this and even paid the account off early. I followed every direction perfectly. I called and made sure thus was done correctly. It was. Never got my fitbit and am now being told the offer expired. Too late sorry about that. I was also told it was a 65.00 fitbit. I was told to write a letter for review. RIP Off

So I called Care Credit today to see if there is anything they could do to help me out with my credit card balance, since I am being layed off from my job and today is my last day. I told them with all my bills it will be impossible to keep up the monthly pymt, and that I would like to pay off my balance (with outside family help) and if they could give me some kind of break or discount? NOPE. They don't do anything like that....I then called my Discover Card, No Problem they said. They took off 4 months of interest. Not a lot, but it defeinately helped. Thank you Discover Card and No thanks Care Credit!!

CareCredit review in Portland, Oregon: GE Bank/Care Credit Customers
I have seen multiple complaints on this site for Care Credit customers, I am a victim of their horrible customer service and issues. When I looked up their BBB rating they have an A and are accredited on the site. This is one of many websites I have seen regarding negative reviews of their business practices. The BBB reports only 354 complaints but I have read over 430 on 2 sites today. I encourage everyone to report them and file a complaint. This company is a loan shark. We have been paying on a balance of $3500 for over a year now at $125 per month. Not one penny has come off the balance, in fact it has gone up by another $200 ( my balance now is $3769) and is charging a monthly over the limit fee of $35 and $80 interest. I called them today and told them to send it to collections and that I would not pay one more penny to them. Now my credit will be ruined but I am not going to pay them anymore in interest and fees. NEVER USE THIS COMPANY!!!

I accidentally had my bill pay set on Pacific Standard Time and they are an Eastern Standard Time company. Therefore I was late paying my bill by a matter of 3 hrs. It was definitely my mistake but they were not at all understanding when I called, and were very robotic in their answers. They would not stray from their resolute answers, and even tried to upsell me on a protection package! I do not recommend dealing with his company, they do not treat you like a human being. Their lack of empathy and judgmental attitudes make me angry just thinking about it.

I have great credit. I opened up a carecredit account to get laser eye surgery since they had a promotional period of 0% for 2 yrs. Why not, I'll just pay with my health savings accounts. Well, care credit is the worst company EVER. i can't pay on my bill online with my debit card (its a credit card number not a normal checking account since it's an HSA). *** online functionality. Also useless customer service reps can't do anything to help me. I call every month to make a payment and have to speak to some to get the reversal since it's a phone payment. Not even a function to email my concerns but have to stay on the phone to talk to no action employees. I will NEVER use CARE CREDIT OR GE MONEY ever since this is the worst experience in my life.

Care Credit Suck, 1 you can't close your account online, CareCredit they are not Email Freindly, they never inform that their promotion expires and charged me over 1600,00$ in back intrest and My APR was 29% so i paid off the total amount of 3900,00$ same month they charged me 1600$ stolled over 1600,00$ dollars, from me, they said that it is your problem that i dint pay off balance on time. It was my wife CareCredit account, I hate This company. Please stay away They need to Rename their comapany From CareCredit, to StealyourmoneyCredit. stay away.

I just spoke top "customer service" on GE money bank because my Aug payment of 3times the required amount did not post on my billing statement and they charged me a $25 late fee – the amount due was $43, I paid $150. The first person I spoke to said it was because my July payment was late – they received it and posted it 4 days later, after my due date. She transferred me to s supervisor – all her own idea – who may be the snottiest, rudest, most obstructive woman I have EVER spoken to. The fist thing she said was "Why exactly did you think you needed a supervisor??" It got worse from there. The jist of it – if I get this right – is I was charged a late fee for paying early; they will NOT credit overages as payment until the end of the billing cycle so it oes not appear on my statement; you cannot have an updated statement (the automated phone message says you can); and I cannot change due date so I can actually pay the bill in a timely way for me instead of having to artificially delay my payment until their due date to avoid a late fee (?????) I have to receive the bill - hold the bills for at least a week - then pay it or it will credit to the previous billing cycle and I will get another late fee. Even though I am paying two and three times the amount due, the compnay will charge me a late payment fee every month my payment is not posted - on their end - on the 7th or 8th.

I telephone Care One Credit after receiving a late payment notice via email. I had made a payment the week prior and had received an email confirmation of my payment. The representative I received, who would only tell me her name was Erica, was rude, abrasive and unhelpful. I told her I had made a payment and could not understand why it had not credited to my account. She replied, "no you didn't!" I was shocked by her demeanor and replied, "excuse me?" Erica then went on to tell me that I never made a payment and she would have seen it if I had. I asked Erica if she could take a payment over the phone so I could ensure the payment was credited this time. Erica stated, "I'm gonna charge you a $15.00 payment if you pay it over the phone." I replied, "but I already paid it online and have an email confirmation saying such, clearly your online server is not working properly." Erica replied, "It is working!" I then asked Erica her last name or employee number which she refused to provide and threatened to hang up on me. WOW! DON'T EVER GET CREDIT THROUGH CARE ONE CREDIT! IF YOU EVER NEED CUSTOMER SERVICE YOU WILL BE LEFT IN THE LURCH!

Synchrony must be getting desperate to offer fake promotions to draw customers. This is a good example of why they can't be trusted, and a great reason to close account before they pull another sneaky stunt..
